Is there a way that you can change your Comcast IP address
I remember I once got a new IP address from Comcast by doing the following: 1) "C:\ipconfig /release" 2) Then shutting down my computer. 3) Then unplugging the power from my modem. 4) Waiting 1 minute. 5) Then plugging my modem back in and when it completely powered up, turning my computer back on and logging in. Oct 25, 2016 · Before last night's disconnect, my IP address, when entered into a name server, mapped to a very normal pool-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx.washdc.fios.verizon.net. My new address, entered into a name server, comes back as c-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx.hsd1.wa.comcast.net. What gives?? Has my account been hijacked by Comcast? Is there been some massive unannounced merger?
